Our party made a mistake with the original location we were suppose to go to so we came here, that was the best mistake we made on the islands 😂 Our party of six came in late (9:00PM) so we were quite unsure if they would take us, they took us in with open arms. The outside and interior decorations were so cute, the atmosphere was great! Since we were the only ones there during to being so close to closing, I can’t quite talk about wait times, noise level, etc, I do believe the fact they took in our party so late speaks a lot for themselves regarding customer service! Moving onto the food, it was great! This place wasn’t our first choice due to having so many Mexican restaurants back at home in California, however this place is quite different than back at home! The crema de elote and fajitas were delicious! As well as the other dishes I had stolen a piece from other plates of our party 😂 The quality of the food was amazing, as well as the presentation (especially the fajitas haha), honestly this was one of the most memorable restaurants we had went to on our trip, what a great last dinner to our...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about my visit to this restaurant. Crema de Elote (corn chowder) and Choriqueso (melted cheese with bacon bits) were absolutely delicious and portions were generous. Nachos were decent, but nothing special. On Friday night, they were out of fried fish for tacos and I went with mushroom tacos. They were somewhat bland and I had to compensate with hot sauce. I assume tortillas in tacos were made from scratch, but I didn't really like them as they lacked any flavor. Another disappointment for me was Casita Margarita. At $15, it was definitely overpriced and I didn't like the taste of it. I would be better off with a classic margarita which is also more reasonably priced. Finally, staff was somewhat slow and disorganized - various waiters were coming to us right after another had left. Given limited options in that part of the island, I probably would come back again, but would stay away from tacos and their...
Read moreMy wife and I fell in love with this very authentic casita, so we ate dinner there twice. From the decor to friendly staff to wonderful food and drinks, we did not find anything to complain about. Even when they were super busy, the wait for service was minimal. They have absolutely the best fish tacos I’ve ever had and the pulled-pork lime tacos were also scrumptious. The food is just so perfectly spiced. We got to try several margaritas and learned about exotic salts like grasshopper salt, worm salt, etc. Dylan, their bartender, was very helpful in teaching us about these salts. Our waitress, Elena, is from Cuba and is so sweet and such a hard worker. Great service with a smile! We were fortunate to be introduced to the owner, Lynn, who introduced us to Mezcal. She runs the Cottages up the road. We gladly will return to this restaurant on our...
