Brought my wife here for her birthday. It was a Thursday evening. The outdoor area was was about half full. We came here for dinner and to catch the sunset. Firstly, awesome spot perched near a short cliff overlooking the ocean. Wonderful place to catch the sunset. The outdoor area has nice tables arranged on perfectly manicured grass. The tables are not crowded together. The inside restaurant area was seen in passing, bit looked fantastic, appeared super clean and was well appointed. The food was top notch. It did not disappoint except that there wasn't more. Well prepared, presented nicely with balanced flavor. The service could be a more speedy, our glasses ran dry a bit, but I think she was new and still learning the ropes. Nothing to complain a about and in general, friendly and courteous. Would I come here again, YES. Do I recommend. YES. It is a great place in a great area.

We recently enjoyed a delightful meal at the Thatch & Barrel in the Cayman Islands. With outside seating overlooking the ocean, it's the perfect spot to unwind. The food is delicious, especially the fresh bread basket, generously portioned lobster benny, and tasty bluff bap. The service was good, with typical Caymanian friendliness, but they didn't have milk for our iced coffee. We settled for heavy cream instead, which wasn't ideal. Overall, Thatch & Barrel earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars for its beautiful setting, delicious food, and friendly service. Despite the minor coffee issue, I highly recommend it!

The only criticism was it is hard to find. You have to know where it is as the signs are very small. To be fair, as a tourist from a right hand drive country, it might be easier for locals. My wife wanted a great meal and a sunset. We sat at one of the outdoor tables for a drink and watched an amazing sunset. We moved inside and had the catch of the day which was red snapper and our favorite fish. Perfectly cooked, beautiful presentation, and excellent sides. It’s a shame it wasn’t more crowded but we are here during the slow season. For us, it was a perfect end to a great day.

During a girls' day trip to East End, my friends and I visited various places, with PSJ as our final stop. Excited for a scenic lunch, we opted to dine in the restaurant's yard. While the setting was lovely, the service left much to be desired. Despite being greeted promptly and provided with water, the overall service fell short. We had to actively seek out our waitress after waiting entirely too long for a check in, to place our order. Additionally, we were informed 5-10 minutes later that one of the items we ordered was unavailable, which was surprising and slightly disorganized. Despite the relatively low number of outdoor diners, the wait for our food was unexpectedly long. To compound matters, my meal was delayed, arriving only after my friends had finished theirs. When requesting a discount for the inconvenience, the server initially offered to remove gratuity and an additional 10% off. However, upon receiving the total, my friend noticed it was incorrect, suggesting an attempt to deceive or a miscalculation regarding the discount. We had to be insistent before what was promised was applied. A apology was only made after my payment which was disappointing, leaving us with an overall negative impression of...

This restaurant has a nice indoor dining area as well as outdoor seating on a beautiful shoreline. The scene was gorgeous! We sat outdoors and watched sunset but shortly thereafter started to get bitten by mosquitoes. We shoukd have brought repellent or gone indoors.

We had grilled wahoo with rice and a Caribbean-style amaranth leaf dish called callalloo. Portions were ample but one fish dish was overcooked and dry while the other was pink and sushi-like in the middle. The callalloo was delicious.

We also shared a dessert of warm toffee cake with rum-raisin ice cream. It was nicely presented and tasty.

Overall, we thought it was a decent meal but like most things on this island, seemed quite overpriced at $84 total...
