Absolutely amazing! My favorite was the pork taco but closely followed by the shredded chicken taco. My husband's favorite was the Carne asada taco but the runner up for him was the mahi mahi. We loved the tacos so much we figured we would try their hot chicken and fries. Now mind you we have been to Nashville TN several times and love Hatti B'. So they had a lot to live up to and did not disappoint! We decided when in Cayman, do it hot. It was very spicy, but packed full of flavor none the less. Absolutely amazing flakey crust with a juicy chicken breast inside. The fries where all fresh cut and fried just right. Even the pickle was fresh and crispy. Being the sissy I am I decided to cool off with a bit of their homemade ice cream. Just went with plain vanilla, but it brought me back to my childhood when me and my great grandpa used to sit on the front porch churning the ice cream in his wood bucket! Read moreWhat a wonderful local eatery! Conveniently located directly across the parking lot of the renowned Crystal Caves. A perfect compliment to an afternoon of walking around the caves and building up an appetite. The owner took the time to come and speak to us about the operation where we found out the meats are smoked daily and the spices and vegetables are locally, organically grown from his home. The prices are reasonable and the portions are incredibly satisfying. Best surprise of it all was no automatic gratuity in the bill. The owner firmly believes that should be earned, which is quite the breathe of fresh air. The few negative reviews on this place are really not justified. A one-star review for not being open is a joke...c'mon. 10/10 would...
Read moreLove this place! We stopped here every other day during our stay to at least pick up a milkshake. Amazing milkshakes - made with real and fresh ingredients instead of syrup or whatever you come to expect from chain restaurants. The tastes were more subtle, less sweet, and we all loved them. My husband is sensitive to preservatives, especially in milk, and these milkshakes didn't upset his stomach!
The ice cream and tacos were great too. We loved talking with the owner about life on the island. He grows some of the ingredients used in the food as well!
Also, it helped to have a more economical option to eat out than a formal sit-down place. Half the time we'd be on our way to or from some water activity, so we'd be happy to grab...
