4 young children, a brother and sister in-law and a wife on the edge. What better place to go and ruin everyone else’s evening but Coccoloba Bar and Grill.
This place got us right from the beginning when Oliver popped up as our waiter and took immediate control of the situation that was developing. He immediately sensed the children were hungry and tired, the in-laws had just finished a long day at work and the wife was hanging on by a thread.
Oliver made our table right next to the live music. An excellent idea on two fronts. Firstly the live music is excellent and they don’t mind taking requests. Secondly it drowned out the constant bickering of the four children.
Oliver went on to out class himself by giving us a full run down of the menu and making some superb suggestions as to what we should eat. When service is this good you don’t mind switching from the old trusted cash and breaking out the plastic.
The food that came was varied and all of good quality. The drinks were very quick and very cold - it was almost as if Oliver could smell the Amex card!
The staff were really friendly and I cannot fault them - they even politely brought our children back when they tried to escape from the ropes we usually use during dinner time in a public place.
The evening view over the ocean was amazing and watching the sun go down was amazing - it meant bedtime for the children.
We will defo come back.
You should all check it out!!! (Ask for Oliver he is the waiter...
Read moreWe would give this place 15 stars if we could and we highly recommend it. We have eaten here a number of times and we thoroughly enjoy everything on the menu and whether it's food or drink you will be so pleased. Even if you're not somebody who likes a pina colada, I can almost promise you you will not regret ordering one from this place. We had the honor and pleasure of getting to know their bartender Marlon. He treated us like gold and he is completely amazing. He spent a lot of time talking us through a full tequila experience so that we could understand the various tequilas and their origin . We cannot thank him enough for making it very fun and educational. The restaurant is literally a few feet from the ocean at 7 Mile Beach so you can sit up to the bar or you can sit in the open concept restaurant or you can sit directly at a table on the beach with your feet in the sand. No matter where you sit, you will be able to hear awesome music and the ocean waves while savouring amazing bites of food. There's not a bad seat in the house and there's not a bad dish in the house and it also really gives you a caymanian inspired experience. They truly have done just an amazing job with this restaurant and all of their staff are incredible at what they do from greeting you at the front with wonderful hostesses to the servers to the bartenders to the chefs in the back. You will not be disappointed and you will be back...

I love this fabulous place. It is the only Beach Bar and Grille on Grand Cayman and they provide fantastic 5 star service with a smile, they have several awesome chefs and magnificent cocktails. The setting is so pretty as you dine either inside on a patio with big standing fans or at the bar plus they even have tables on the beach. I love all of the people that work there from the Manager Allessandro, Arpi who always has a smile on his face deliverying the finest service with an upbeat attitude and the servers who are very professional and kind. The food is delicious. It is mexican street food plus they have two theme nights- Taco & Tequila on Tuesday and guacamole tableside with a mariachi band playing on Friday nights. I love the vibe, location, food and service. I am surprised at some of the low reviews. I am a foodie and it is 10 stars...
