There were few frills with our stay at Pionero but the location was very convenient to the Argentinian Border (the border crossing is literally right in Cerro Castillo), Puerto Natales (45 mins) and Torres del Paine (1h), the service was friendly and the accommodations clean.
Sure, the on-site dining options are limited and a bit pricey for Chile, but one can certainly plan accordingly as the second building, in which we were staying, provided a kitchen and necessary equipment to prepare meals if you so desire. Overall we felt we got what we were paying for and the setting even lent itself to meeting fellow guests and spending an evening dining with them.

Read moreExcellent. The cutest little B&B outside of Torres del Paine. Sébastien is a wonderful host. The dinner service was wonderful and delicious. The night we stayed the main courses were salmon & a chicken dish. We did the complete menu & it didn't disappoint. The animals on the property are adorable and friendly. The room was very comfy. Sébastien was very accommodating when our first room didn't have a working toliet and gave us a bigger room instead.
