Kunstmann Honey Almeer Chile | Amy Da Beer
Kunstmann is a long-established beer producer. Their history goes back to 1850, when the first immigrants from Germany came. When they moved to Valdivia, they brought the knowledge and techniques of traditional German beer brewing and began to award them to Chileans at the time. German brewing skills soon spread throughout Valdivia, and even Chile.
It is documented that in 1851 the German businessman Karl Anwandter started to create the Anwandter brewery. By the twentieth century, when it had reached an annual output of 1.44 million liters of beer, and gained international fame, praise and awards, Anwandter had a profound impact on the development of Chilean beer. However, a century-long earthquake in Valdivia in 1960 completely destroyed the brewery.
In the 1990s, Armin Kunstmann and his family decided to get their own beer, in order to retrieve the traditional German brewing technology of crossover Chile, which was lost in the earthquake.
Initially, he stated that Kunstmann beer was an amateur beer. It's just home-brewed beer. Today it can be said to be a craft beer connoisseur, and all their finished products will only be shared with friends.
However, in 1997, the Kunstmann family was reluctant to stay in the brewing environment of small production and small circles. The Kunstmann family decided to create a wine brand, and Valdivia LTDA Wine Company was established.
Kunstmann relies on the Valdivia River next to the brewery, a high-quality brewing water, which has enabled them to create a variety of successful beer products under their brand, and because they have always respected traditional rules and established purity laws, they gradually became famous It is now one of Chile's most influential wineries.
Introduced today
Kunstmann Honig Ale-
Chilean honey ale, rich in honey. Classic English ale style, the main taste exudes a strong honey taste, and the secondary taste is more like drinking ginseng honey.
The honey smell overwhelms the hop smell, making people feel like drinking Neway's ginseng tea, but you are indeed drinking, the taste is unique and contradictory. The bitterness that beer should have is obviously insufficient, and honey is added. I should not expect him to have a bitterness, and the aftertaste feels refreshing and bright. The bubble of this review is very homey, dense and smooth. The color of the wine is dark brown and orange, and the volume is medium. (Alcohol content: 4.8%) Yitian sells for about $ 15-20 * 330ml。 We travelled by car in Chile and spent two nights in Valdivia from 13-14 2020. On the 14th, I drove to the Kunstmann brewery. Many people entered the car, and I took a drive to find a parking space. There are more people eating and drinking beer in the restaurant. Everywhere you have to wait for 15-30 minutes. Finally decided to buy 4 bottles of dark beer Bock back to the hotel for 5700 pesos, 330ml per bottle. Can't wait to open a bite at the hotel. Sure enough, it is indeed very good, with plenty of foam, dark brown color, a bit of bitterness, and a good aftertaste after drinking. It is worth...

Read moreWe took the full factory tour today, had a great time learning about the history of beer families in Valdivia and how the brewery has such quality to their beers. Fantastic food inside the restaurant, very high quality. The tour includes a tasting at the end to help you appreciate different brews. Incredibly friendly staff and wonderful souvenirs. The apple strudel with ice cream was super moist, 90% apple and 10% bread, and not a spot of it was dry. Didn't need the icecream. The cheeseburger came slathered in bbq sauce with crsipy bacon and onion rings. Our favorite beers are the Miel (Honey) which they use local honey, Torobayo Sin Filtrar (Without Filter) is full bodied, & Arandano (Blueberry) they use real blueberries as opposed to other blueberry beers. Once you take the tour you'll have a depper appreciation for the Antwander brew, it's flavor is exactly what...
