Kong Yi Ji — Restaurant in Beijing

Classic Shanghai fare in a very discrete and cozy setting. The restaurant is themed on shaoxing wine though it is by no means a necessary pairing for a good experience.

The food is prepared with expert technique hitting all the right notes to the discerning palate, though some flavors are tamed down for wider audiences (I.e. the fried fermented tofu)
