The transition from Costa to Starbucks marks a significant change in the local café scene. During my recent visit, I paid for my order using a Citi card, but to my surprise, the owner declined to provide a receipt. I ordered a large Americano, yet the barista mistakenly labeled my medium drink as large. Before I left, I decided to try two crispy hot dogs. However, I was disappointed to discover that the sausages tasted reminiscent of those found at the nearby convenience store, leading me to suspect they were made from artificial meat rather than quality chicken or beef. The overall experience was far from enjoyable.
In my opinion, such inconsistencies and questionable food quality could reflect a broader trend where convenience and brand recognition overshadow customer satisfaction. It’s disheartening to see once-beloved establishments lose their charm and integrity in favor of corporate branding.
