Jie Xiang Lou is tucked away in a quiet area of ​​West Lake with a beautiful classical Chinese design style, giving it an unusually peaceful feel. It is one of the 7 villas in the Zixuandu resort with a wonderful environment and a quiet and elegant feel in the courtyard. The wooden doors with brown brick tones are reminiscent of ancient times. In addition, the gold–embossed Buddha statues are low–key and elegant.

Each dish celebrates the original flavors of the excellent ingredients. I don’t understand why this restaurant doesn’t have five stars.

The atmosphere was enchanting – from the waitresses dressed in traditional Chinese attire to the soothing background music. And the food? I was genuinely impressed by how flavorful it was – perfectly balanced, neither too sweet nor too salty.

Our waiter spoke fluent English and gave us excellent recommendations, making the experience even more enjoyable.

One Michelin star feels like too little for a place like this – it truly deserves more. Absolutely...
