McDonald's (The LOHAS) — Restaurant in Hong Kong

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this restaurant due to its repulsive customer service. The staff exhibited rudeness, double standards, and inconsistency, which was particularly disheartening during my visit with my elderly mother.

We waited outside with my small dog in my bag, patiently anticipating our takeout order, especially given the lunch rush. After checking our order—which is necessary because they frequently miss items—I discovered there was no spoon for my sundae.

While waiting at the McDonald statue, I noticed two gentlemen inside with their dog, which was not surprising since my husband and I have dined there since 2021 and regularly saw others with dogs without issue.

An older lady was kind enough to assist me when I picked up my order, even complimenting my dog. However, upon realising there was no spoon for my Sundae. I returned inside. A staff member, presumably a manager, condescendingly informed me that dogs are not allowed. I understood that but needed my spoon.

Afterward, I asked my mother to sit briefly (not even two minutes) while I organized our takeout. As she began eating her fries, an older gentleman rudely reminded us that dogs were not allowed. I was simply trying to manage our orders and did not wish to engage in an argument so I didn’t reply! I’m all with following the rules, but be consistent!

What appalled me most was the blatant double standard: earlier, two men with a dog were not reprimanded. My husband has dined there with my dog in the past and has said nothing to him. My past experiences at this restaurant have been marred by this inconsistency and arrogance. I am thoroughly disgusted by their service! This would have not happened anyways if you keep checking take out...

Just been at the receiving end of the worst customer service ever at a McDonald's. 50 min wait for my order which they lost. Staff and managers void of any responsibility and no apology or acceptance of blame.
