Cornerside, post-beach spot for reasonable Thai food. The dishes served are not focused on presentation, but do have authentic Thai flavour. The vermicelli salad is fresh and packs a citrus-chilli punch. The prawn cakes were cooked with a light batter and tasted fresh. The beef noodles were lathered with tasty gravy and including a nice variety of veggies. The venue is simple and the location is perfect to grab an informal lunch/dinner after the beach. The price is slightly higher than the other little roadside dens, but the venue feels a little more spacious and relaxed.

The food was great, very tasty and good portion. Price wise, could be considered reasonable, judging by its remote location. The price matches most of the street level mid ranged Thai restaurants in town. Clean and spacious. No air conditioning, doesn't border most of the people I guess. That makes the random sea breeze and icy cold drinks more enjoyable. It's unfortunate that some customers smoked electronic cigarettes which killed the atmosphere.

On nice days this restaurant can be full by 1pm, so it is worth arriving early if you are planning on having lunch before or after the beach. The beef pad see ew is excellent, as is the pomelo salad and deep fried squid. I would avoid the pad thai, it’s very average. The staff generally look fairly unhappy to be there and unceremoniously throw your food down in front of you, but they are competent and service is never Hong Kong’s selling point.

Unless you are in the neighbourhood then it's not a place particularly inspiring to visit especially after a long drive from Central. All public carparks were full even at night and there was not any proper place for parking up. It was quite quiet in Shek O at night time and you wondered where are all the cars came from.... Shek O Thai has been changed hands a few years ago and I still miss the round tables instead of now all square or rectangular tables. Food and services were so so but good for meals after a hike on Dragon Back (no driving). Prices...
