One of our favorite spots in Lhasa — a cozy, welcoming gem we came to call the “yogurt farm.” The space is filled with Polaroids, airline stubs, guest notes, and marked maps showing where visitors came from. It feels personal, warm, and full of stories.
The food centers around yak yogurt in all the best ways — we loved the yogurt with dates, the yogurt cake, local noodles, egg and tomato, and rich butter tea. Everything tasted distinct and comforting.
But the real standout is the staff. They were kind, patient, and genuinely excited to help us (as Americans) enjoy the experience. They offered suggestions, showed us how to eat certain dishes, took our photo, and helped us mark our hometown on the guest map.
