Kurukyo — Restaurant in Sai Kung District

Some may find the place cozy but its small and cramped which I found it to be quite warm inside, especially since they had no AC. We went recently on a very hot day and its mind boggling how they serve HOT water in such hot weather...

We wanted to get a lunch set but 2 on the menu that we wanted were sold out - then we tried getting a starter which was also sold out... So in the end we just got fries. With just that order they took around 15 minutes which is way too long a wait for chips.

Manager Adi called, another Gastrobox just opened up in CWB 2/F next to Mcdonald, so I went. New year’s eve 2021,16;00, staff busy preparing special dinner, Adi entertained us champagne with charcuterie, perfect happy hour! Restaurant took over from previous Hugo’s. Inside rearranged, more comfy and neat. Menu is mix of popular plates and reasonably priced, large seafood platter 688, tomahawk steak for 2 set 988, blue mussel in cream sauce 168…. not bad. The atmosphere is good. We went for lunch, we ordered two set lunches, one hamburger with soup, another beef with salad. My husband found a piece of plastic in his soup. When we told the waitress, she didn’t bother to make any apology, it seems very normal to them. And the waitress is not very attentive. After she told the manager and kitchen, there was no one come up to say sorry.

There was no AC in the restaurant, they simply open the door let the dust threw into the restaurant. It make me felt very uncomfortable.
