Had nice Sunday family lunch here, plenty of fresh seafood to choose from and some of the staff speak english which is great for ordering. Plenty of space if you are coming with little ones to put a stroller by your table and also every different type of payment accepted which makes it very convenient - i don’t think I’m alone in rarely carrying cash these days. We had squid, scallops, grouper, fried rice, spinach and beef with black bean. The beef was not something I would order again here because it lacked flavour however I should have probably known better than to order the dish in a seafood spot so contributory error on my own part there. My main gripe with the overall experience is the big dose of foreigner treatment we got. We were told prawns were not available but they were available to the local tables that were ordering before and after us. There was a concerted hard sell on the lobster at the seafood tanks which always just detracts from the ease that you can feel when you want to ask a couple of questions and get a great selection for your lunch. In the end i gave them a pretty strong push back in Cantonese, which I think was a bit surprising and things eased up but it’s something to be aware if you are going there and not used to eating in these types of restaurants outside of Lamma. My main reason for giving 3* rather than a...

Found this restaurant after our hike and was really pleased with all our food orders.
The English menu was pretty limited but if you’d wish to order the seafood, head to the tanks and pick your own ingredients. We looked at open rice menu and conveyed our orders to the servers there.
We requested for the squid to be done two ways ($360) - sashimi and fried. Because the squid was freshly caught, the sashimi was really sweet with no fishy smell nor taste to it. We also had the garlic ribs on the menu ($80) and were pretty impressed with it. The garlic was well fried and went really well with the tender ribs. The portion was pretty decent for the price so we highly recommend it.
All in all, great place to have seafood without the exorbitant price. Also note that the other popular seafood restaurant beside wasn’t open while we were there so best to call and...
Read moreOur favourite place for seafood in Hong Kong. If you can sit on the small terrace by the fish tanks so you can avoid the loud noisy crowds in the main dining area. Choose your seafood and chat with them on suggestions for how to cook it. The seafood is always so fresh and cooked beautifully. Our top picks are the boiled prawns, steamed flower crab with egg and huatiao wine, bamboo clams steamed with garlic and vermicelli, clams in peppery soup, steamed lai liu har, A-choy dao see leng yu and fried rice. If you need dried shrimp they also sell big sized dried shrimp. And during Chinese New Year season be sure to check out all the different "cakes" they make fresh. My favourite is the lor pak go. It's generously filled with chunky Chinese sausages, dried shrimp and dried...
