Casual fast food sit down Shanghainese restaurant. Efficient wait in line machine dispenses number. Regular XLBs were juicy and tasty but only 4 per serving. Shang Jian Baos were smaller than expected but tasted good (3 per dish). Spring rolls were very crispy but low on stuffing (3 per dish). The ham with crispy tofu skin and cucumber was a unique variation, tasty (3 per dish). Finally the Shanghai wonton with la mian was a decent size bowl with 5 large wontons. Tasty broth, noodles were thin, al dente and wontons were delicious. Service was quick and efficient. Too quick, imo. Servers removed dishes before one truly finished. Biggest disappointment was the lack of shredded ginger for the XLBs. 2022-11-29 Update There was shredded ginger today! The XLBs were good! Ordered the $94 la mien lunch set. Chose the kor fu appetizer, Shanghai wonton noodles, choi sum veggies and a hot soya drink. Added a hot sour soup for $10. All the dishes were good. We also had the drunken chicken, shang jeen bao and the chicken and ham fried rice. All were good and arrived at the table hot. Service was quick, friendly...

Prices are reasonable for Crystal Jade, service quick and no worries if you don't speak English. Menus are dual language and there will be someone available to take your order and assist if...
Read moreDidn't have to wait for a seat at lunchtime which was a bonus. The lunch special menu was just things you can get on the normal menu for the same price. The only thing that made it special was it included a drink of either soya milk or a black medicinal type tea. The prices seem to have increased from previous visits. My husband's food arrived way before mine and he had finished eating by the time my lunch arrived. For me this is never...
