Heard about this place for a while. Never had a chance to try it out until today. They offer typical Hong Kong local cafe style lunch sets for close to 60 dollars each which include a plate of rice with a complimentary bowl of soup and a drink. I chose Rice with Sliced Pork in XO Sauce. The soup had two slices of chayote melon which tasted strangely bitter, and a small chunk of pig skeleton most likely recycled from some other unfortunate customer's rice plate. The resulting 'soup' tasted like the proverbial dishwater. Left it untouched after the smallest sampling. The few slices of pork which came with the rice was over 70% inedible fat, without any trace of the promised XO sauce, whose spicy flavour I normally enjoy. Even the iced lemon tea (cold drinks cost an extra few bucks but on these hot days...) was strangely bitter. All in all the meal was a disaster. To top it all they have the audacity to charge an extra 10% for service, which came, not surprisingly, without a smile, from amahs bearing typical grumpy faces of disgraced Party cadres freshly (never thought the word 'fresh' could creep into this review!) released from labour, sorry, re-education camps. And by the way, they charge about 30% more than similarly graded cafés in the area who offer better food and service, for which they don't change extra. Wouldn't go...

Prices are inexpensive, but quality-wise : average.
