Maxim's MX — Restaurant in Yuen Long District

During COVID19 restaurants are hurting for business as social distancing and dining restrictions (no more than 4 per table) and at least 1.5 meter apart and safety minded public are avoiding as much dining in as possible. Many restaurants are doing promotion to encourage more take outs which is a good thing for consumers. Here at Maxim's MX, a large chain the 3 combo Siu Mei (chicken, char siu, roast duck) are 30% off from regular price of $78. And additional $5 coupon knocked the total down to $49. An excellent value. Advertising photo is always at it's most appealing, though the real stuff didn't look as good, tastewise they weren't bad either.

I went there several times just to expect some improvement in place, like a father expects the return of his prodigal son. However, sad to see that this long established fast food chain has been falling to rubbish grade. Uneatable food, dirty sitting and lax management over its staff. No doubt, its top management is fully satisfied with its present market position at Hung Shui Kiu and no plan to make any improvement in its service, food or whatever. Really poor service. The waitresses at the bar are active in chatting with each other rather than serving customers, resulting in very low efficiency in tendering the foods. Obviously, there is no, if any, shop discipline and management. Food quality is average and price...
