I’ve had the privilege of dining at some of the world’s finest restaurants, but what truly elevates a dining experience beyond the food is the person who curates it—and for us, that person was Carlos Pastuso.

We visited this restaurant three days in a row—Thursday, Friday, and Saturday—and the reason was simple: Carlos made our first night unforgettable.

On Thursday, Carlos guided us through an incredible dinner. His recommendations—the Catch of the Day, the Fettuccine Pasta, and the Crispy Rice Tuna Tartare—were nothing short of outstanding. His knowledge, passion, and attentiveness were Michelin-level, setting the tone for the entire evening.

The second night, Friday, Carlos was busy hosting a pre-wedding event, but he still took the time to greet us warmly and ensure we felt comfortable—despite not being able to personally serve us. That small gesture spoke volumes about his character and professionalism.

By Saturday, we came back for lunch—admittedly hoping to see him again—but even in his absence, the memory of his hospitality lingered. The food was consistently excellent, but Carlos was the reason we returned.

As someone who has traveled the globe and dined at the very best, I can confidently say: Carlos is overqualified for Michelin star service. He embodies what hospitality should be—genuine, passionate, and unforgettable.

If you consider yourself a particular patron (as I do), trust me: ask for Carlos. He turns a great meal into a world-class experience.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Praia Beach Club Restaurant in Guatapé, Colombia, and it was an exceptional experience! The location is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the lake, which perfectly set the mood for a delightful meal.

After a long day of travel from Atlanta to Colombia (with a overnight layover in Panana), we took the bus ride from Medellin to Guatape. While waiting for our AirBNB to become available, we decided to take a Tuk Tuk to Praia Beach Club (located in the Luxe Charlee Hotel) for lunch. This place was just what we needed. The staff helped us bring our luggage down the long stairs to the beach dining area (and we were grateful because the walk was long and we had been carrying the luggage all day). Even though we were not guests of the hotel, the staff made sure to give us excellent service. In addition to the service, the food was delicious. My boyfriend had steak and I had the mole chicken. We had a few double shots of grey goose as well. When we were done eating, the staff helped us call another tuk tuk to take us to our airbnb.
