Panaderia Cabuya Cafeteria — Restaurant in Cóbano

Food was tasty, staff were friendly, service took forever.

We have had wonderful experiences in CR, and understand we are now on “Tico Time” however this restaurant took that to our maximum. We waited 2 hours for our food. We arrived at 1:30 and did not receive our food until after 3:30 pm.

Staff did not speak very much English. We asked for a bit more time to look over the menu and they said “if we didn’t order now another table would order before us and we would wait even longer for our food since they make everything from scratch”. We got our order in before the other table and they still received their food before us.

A very classy bakery and eatery in the heart of Cabuya. Really professional and friendly staff. Amazing variety of food from healthy breakfast to unhealthy chocolate cakes, iced cold lemonade, Costa Rican coffee. Pancakes, pita bread filled with chicken and salad, these guys offer it all with a high quality vibe. Cam back for afternoon dinner the best day and had pasta with chicken and mushroom in a cream sauce with chunks of fresh garlic bread. This little café is incredible! My wife and I stopped here after hiking in the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. The space is cute and was decorated with flower arrangements. Our plates were beautifully presented with artfully arranged vegetables. My wife had a grilled tuna salad, an item not on the menu. I had the salsa verde, fished covered in a delicious, but not spicy sauce. Also included were wonderfully seasoned potatoes as well as fresh cucumber, carrot, beet, lettuce and tomato.
