Estero Azul — Restaurant in Cabo Velas

The first time I went there, we had rode mountain bikes from Playa Grande (stayed at wonderful Indra Inn), along the beach and then 180 into Playa Flamingo. My buddy lives in Costa Rica, and asked around for a good place to eat. What a find! I love ceviche, and it was delicious and very reasonable. The tables are thick wood, and it is so relaxing to sit and listen to the waves, and then enjoy absolutely delicious food. When I returned with my girlfriend, we all went again, though this time by car. Again, an incredibly relaxing time, and delicious food, wonderful sea and sky. It was one of the many great highlights of that trip. My girlfriend wants to go back. I read a handful of reviews and nobody mentioned ceviche, so I wanted to... it was great. Beware: Do not use your credit card here! After being in the Potrero area for almost 2 weeks, we had dinner here and used my credit card. At previous dinners out we had used my husband’s. The next day we got a call from our credit card company about a suspected fraudulent charge. I looked at our charge history and found four charges totaling almost $2,000! I remembered our card being in the server’s possession for an unusually long time after she gave us the check. She seemed nice but who knows? All it takes is for someone to take a picture of your card to get the number. It’s too bad, because the food was delicious and very inexpensive. But due to this theft, I will avoid...

We went to this place because it came out when we googled for restaurants and it had great reviews. We went around 3pm, there was no one else . We ordered the Calamari and the red snapper. It took them 45 minutes to get the food out. In the mean time, we got to see all five employees (I assume both cooks and servers) sit down and eat.
