We stopped here twice - once for breakfast on the way from San José to Tortuguero which was nice but we should have been there a day earlier, but that was the fault of the 'airline' known as Avianca.

After the problems were resolved, and in a strange reversal of fortune, we managed to have much more time to try to see sloths while the others were having breakfast.

The security guard at the main gate was very helpful once we'd walked back from the group and were trying to see/identify sloths. That guy was great as he even took out a pen and paper to draw the tree on the other side of the road, and where the sloths were. Needless to say I couldn't see them initially and yet took loads of photos all the same.

When we passed through here for lunch on the way back from Tortuguero, heading towards Tilajari Lodge we found out it was dry. One of our travelling companions asked for a beer to accompany his lunch and was told they didn't/don't serve alcohol. Just so people are...

My partner and I were here on Go Ahead Tours. We stopped by here twice for lunch. The food is ok and both meals were really similar to each other. It's definitely a pit stop for tour groups since there were always 2+ groups with us. Our guide and other guides were able to spot a wild sloth really, really high up in a tree. Maybe carry some binoculars. There were bullet ants on the ground, so be...

A private restaurant that only serves groups who come here via a travel agency. We came by bus, and upon arrival, everyone just got inside as fast as they could to get some food. It's hilarious to see people act as if they've never had something to eat, crazy.. The food was good, the first taste of Costa Rican cuisine for us. It didn't disappoint. Service is good, very...
