We had a wonderful experience at El Jalisciense. There were not many reviews that we could find, because the restaurant is fairly new. The owners were very friendly and made some recommendations for us. They provided us with some homemade tortilla chips and refried bean dip, which were very tasty. I asked for some hot sauce, and two homemade hot sauces were provided, which were amazing. I had a Jalisco burrito, and my wife and daughter shared the Alambre tacos. The burrito was massive, and filled with slow cooked beef and rice, covered in queso and a slice of avocado. It was delicious, and I was happily stuffed upon devouring it. My wife and daughter enjoyed the tacos with homemade pico de gallo, they were fresh and flavorful. There was ample parking outside. Not only was the atmosphere, service and food tot-notch, but it was very affordable as well. The best food I have had...

Gaudi, La Jaliscience, owner/chef and her lovely and charming daughter, Maxine, really deliver a wonderful, tasty dining experience! Their food is appropriately spicy (I've been in Costa Rica for 3 months of bland tasting casadas and craving Mexican food) and Maxine's organic, custom Margaritas are powerful and potent. This restaurant, and the dynamic duo, are SO GREAT, I ate there 4 times in the 7 nights in La Fortuna! I've eaten, and highly recommend the red beef enchiladas, the green chicken enchiladas, the fajitas de Michuacan, the red pozole, and the custom, bespoke red enchiladas made with the fajitas de Michuacan!!! EVERYTHING I had was super and I assure you that you will be more than satisfied when you venture there! Also, open late, but closed on Monday (or I'd have eaten there a...

We ordered takeout from El Jalisciense 2 weeks ago, after first having a few beers and some homemade bean and guacamole dips in the restaurant. First, the cook and staff were so awesome - asking what they could make for us and improvising on our appetizers gleefully. They then made a special effort to give us an assortment of tacos and sauces to go with them. The place is one of laughter, comradery and good will. The food was all outstanding and a pleasure to enjoy. The prices were also so much better than the high-end restaurants that are everywhere in La Fortuna. For a real local experience with great food, we absolutely recommend EL...

Hands down the best restaurant I've eaten at in CR thus far, and i am staying at a 4-star hotel! I am Mexican and from California and was feeling a little home sick, and this place cured the sickness. The food and Mexican michelada were delicious and authentic, and the service was excellent! We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Mexican dining experience. I will be back again for dinner. Lol. Oh, and there is free strong wifi!

Staff is super friendly and accommodating, had the michelada Mex. It was probably one of the best I had. My food was very delicious and cooked to order but the rice was hard. I think that might just be how rice is cooked here locally as that has been the case everywhere I’ve had rice. My meal was the mixed fajitas. They were supposed to be chicken, shrimp and steak however there was no shrimp. Wife had the tacos and she thought they where just ok
