If you find my review helpful please take a moment and like it thank you. This restaurant is absolutely amazing I highly recommend anybody that loves eating seafood to go to this place and have a fabulous meal. It's literally a Hidden Gem like in the middle of nowhere up a Mountain. It was me my wife and two kids and two friends we decided to walk there at night thank God somebody stop to give us a lift because it would have taken us at least an extra 40 minutes to have walked there and you know how it is in the mouth and he could be a little stressful when there's car zipping by you. They have their fresh seafood Catch of the Day the night we went they had red snapper they had octopus they had Lobster they had Langoustine they also had calamari. You would think walking into this place maybe I should not but you must the family that works there are extremely kind the chef cook brought us into the kitchen to show us all the fresh fish on a platter so that we knew exactly what we were ordering. I had the calamari and I'm telling you it was by far the best I've ever had the langoistine were huge my wife and daughter devoured their own plates entirely and they were big big plates and I think there was four or five langostas in each plate. And for the quality of the seafood that was served to us and the quantity it was extremely inexpensive for us for our total meal costed roughly 65 u.s. which included two glasses of wine one beer and the kids each had a Fanta. If needed they will call a taxi for you to get back home. It costed us 5000crc to go back to our hotel....
Read moreThis place is off the beaten path somewhat, accessed by a dirt road and eclectic looking. It was exactly what I expected for some serious fisherman's fare. The Plato Mariscopo was my favorite dish and contained fresh calamari, braised to tender perfection, sweet and plump jumbo shrimp, and strips of fried fish. Even the simple fish and chips was delicious and tasted freshly caught. Nobody left their plate with food on it, even our picky 10 year old ate what was ordered and I was shamelessly sopping up the juices left from the mariscopo mix with fries towards the end. Glad we came here, loved the service, and... The chef doubles as a painter/artist so we picked up some handicrafts he painted for souvenirs!

Read moreWhen we walked in, we were not immediately brought to a table, but instead to the kitchen where the hosts proudly showed an amazing display of fresh seafood ready to be prepared. It all looked amazing! This was not a quick meal, but when it did come out the food was fantastic, cooked and seasoned well. We all had the mixed seafood plate so we got to sample a bit of everything, and it was all delish! Nice casual vibes in the restaurant too. Go here!
Other reviewers have commented on the prices: it may be more expensive than other places in Quepos, but is still less than what you would pay for a comparable seafood...
