The only place in Costa Rica, that at least I know, with Thai authentic food!!! The AMAZING and TALENTED chef, Ms. Addie, is not only a genius but a real Thai authentic cook. She is from Bangkok and you can taste the real flavors of Thai dishes using local ingredients, they even harvest some of the ingredients that can’t be found easily in our country. She purchase locally and very high quality ingredients for her dishes, you can notice it from the taste and the freshness on each plate. This place is absolutely a most try if you are around the place, even if you are not, you make a plan to go to Savory a la Thai for the day, it’s an event and you will want to go back again and again. The price is reasonable, specially for the perfect execution on every dish, she nails every single one all the time.
This is my fourth time going and I will never get tired of going. Plus, the individual and warm attention they give is an extra detail you appreciate.

Read moreI don’t even know where to start! We just left the place with a little girl (10years) with an anxiety attack on the waiter's reaction. It was our 4th time visiting yes besides the awful poor customer service skills and passive aggressive attitude from the owner we decided to visit again as the food is AMAZING. However this time there was a worm in the food. We called the serving person and we got shocked on the response towards the event: “ what do you expect this is the outcome from working only with organic vegetables” we told him that he needed to improve his customer service and it was when it escalated! He told us to leave the place and not to pay anything… when we were leaving he told us to pay the drinks and we wanted to clarify that despite his poor actitud as usual we always came back as the food is fantastic. He called the chef ( his wife) poor woman! He started yelling so she did too once she saw that what had us upset wasn’t even the worm in the food that it was his reaction she changed and eqs calm as WE WERE. Yes the place is magical, the food is fantastic but we all left feeling anxious on the reaction on something that we needed to finally communicate. Perhaps that is the issue that we never spoke about his service before. Here we are heading to a pharmacy to get something for the little girl in case the worn found was not the only one here we are also feeling so bad for this amazing Thai woman married to an awful passive aggressive Costa Rican! We support small business and in fact are our favorite places but I hope this post makes a difference not only on his attitude but also helps you decide on going or not maybe if they see the impact of the owners behavior on the people visiting they will change. As he said: your opinion won’t affect me but her ( the chef) wells business is not just made out of good and a magical place but the services plays an...
Read moreWhen we came to Costa Rica for vacation we didn’t think we would find our new favorite Thai restaurant, but here we are.
First, let’s start off with the warning that they are reservation only (due to COVID?), so make sure you reserve a table! It’s worth it!
Everything we tried was outstanding. We started with the fried wontons (with pork) and fresh spring rolls. They came out on a plate that looked like a work of art. Normally wontons aren’t my personal favorite, but I loved these! The edges were thin and crispy and I loved that! Word of caution that the fresh spring rolls were messier than I’ve ever had, but they were jam packed with flavor. Well worth having to scrape up the last few bites with a fork and I have no regrets. Surprisingly, they included shredded beet, which is an obsession of mine, so I was thrilled with both appetizers! Both came with a sweet-chili sauce that was good enough that I could have drank it.
The server who took our order asked how spicy we wanted our dishes on a 1-10 scale. We chose a drunken noodle dish with chicken (level 7) and a cashew chicken dish (level 4). If you’ve read this far you can probably guess that I’m going to tell you both of these dishes were perfect as well. The level 7 was pretty spicy, but I like a strong kick to my dishes, so the drunken noodles were everything I could have wanted. We also loved that the cashew chicken was slightly breaded and deliciously seasoned.
If you like, love, or have even a mild interest in Thai food, this restaurant simply...
