Las Delicias del Mar — Restaurant in San Ramón

I went with my elderly parents, and unfortunately, they experienced clear discrimination. My mom is also disabled. The waiter made us wait about half an hour just to get drinks, and when they finally arrived, he intentionally forgot my mom’s simple request for a glass of water. I tried to get his attention a couple of times, but he just told us we needed to wait. We had ordered food as well, but it never came. When my parents complained, they were told the staff was “too busy,” even though they were serving others around us.

In total, we waited for about an hour, and after being ignored several more times, we decided to leave and only paid for the drinks. Fortunately, we found a really nice Mexican restaurant afterward, where they treated my parents really well, so the day wasn’t all bad. However, we’ll still be filing a complaint with the authorities because this is a clear case of ageism and ableism. Update this review: I sure do love the food here and I sure do hate the service. They will walk by me 10x, take the orders of ticos and bring them their meals before they will even acknowledge I exist. It’s crazy. I’ll ask the waitresses to take my order and they tell me to wait. I don’t understand their service protocol

21 de octubre 2022. Lamentablente muy desagradable experiencia en atención al cliente en este sitio. Apenas entrando al lugar saloneras y personal de cocina en una tertulia en el centro del salón principal. Me imagino que por esa "amenidad de conversación" tardaron mucho para llegar a la mesa con el menú. Ordené un casado, ante lo cual la salonera expresó que por dicha eran las 3:15 pm porque si no en la cocina se iban a enojar mucho si se pasaban de las 4:pm en este pedido de plato ejecutivo. Yo era el único comensal en el sitio y aún así tardaron 30 minutos en traerme un sencillo casado. Esta comida, regular. Nada extraordinario. La salonera adujo que la tardanza se debió a que tenían un pedido muy grande para llevar. Inexplicable esto a nivel de organización de la cocina. Terminado el consumo del plato. Se había prometido un postre que hubo que pedirlo porque por lo menos 3 saloneras pasaron en frente de la mesa sin fijarse si este cliente ocupaba algo más o por lo menos ofrecer el postre y el café incluidos en el Plato Ejecutivo.
