Mariscos Donald's — Restaurant in Sarchí Norte

A friend suggested this place and so we decided to check it out. We ordered two entrees at 4,500 Colons each and I had a beer. My wife ordered wine, after ascertaining that they had white wine. It was not on the menu. I finished with coffee and cheesecake. My wife had three glasses of wine. When it came time to pay I was told my bill was over 30,000 Colones! I asked for an accounting and it turns out the restaurant charged us 7,000 Colones for each glass of wine. The wine alone totaled 21,000 Colones. I said it was very expensive but the waiter shrugged and said "It's wine." I reluctantly paid but we will never go back there again after that. I think we got gringoed. We've eaten all over Costa Rica and in much, much better places than that and a glass of wine is never more than 4 mil. At 7 mil, we could have bought an entire bottle of Chilean wine.
