Steven Lisa´s — Restaurant in Tárcoles

No idea how this place has so many good reviews. I’m giving it two stars because our server was friendly but: the food was incredibly salty and greasy (tasted more like American-style tico food) and there was a musician playing when we came in and sat down and within 5 minutes he was at our table asking for money (we didn’t have any small bills or change so we said sorry but he stayed trying to get it out of us ugh). I can’t recommend the food or the atmosphere here. There’s so many better options just right beside this or across the street. Save yourself and go there.

What a gem! This was way better than any breakfast spots we have tried in central Jaco including Rustic and Kathys. My husband decided to get the chicken sandwich as breakfast item and customizing it with scramble eggs, he loved it! We are original from here visiting from US and I can tell you pinto was delicious! And the added treat of grilling the cheese was amazing! My recommendation for owner would be to spend a little more on advertisement specifically for street so drivers can notice the restaurant more. The place was totally empty besides our group, but it can't be from the food. The food was fantastic. They have a large, diverse menu which usually isn't a good sign, but I can't see any of our dinners as being anything other than cooked from scratch (well, maybe excluding the side veggies, rice, beans... you know, that kind of stuff).
