Gostiona Milina — Restaurant in Grad Hvar

Very nice restaurant on the sea with delicious food. But... In our case though we had to wait more than one full hour and on top nobody come around to tell us there would be a delay. As a result we almost starved and also half of the food arrived reheated and some of it even fully cold. When we talked to the manager/owner on the one hand she offered apologies and a discount but on the other hand she ditched any responsibility because she said she was not around when this happened and started yelling to the waiters. I should note that when a full hour of waiting was completed she was there for a fact and she might missed something in between. In general I have to say that the experience was rather ok, the delay is understandable and the way they handled it...

If you're staying on Hvar or passing through definitely come eat here, I've stayed for several days in Milna and came for dinner the first night - the staff is very welcoming and kind, the food is impeccable and sharply priced and I'm not even mentioning the view! Together with my fiancée we spent some of our best nights in this charming place, drinking the local house wine and trying out the many different choices on the menu - each time being suprised with how tasty it is. The food was less than ok for the price. I ordered spaghetti sea fruit and the only thing that came where shells. I told the waiter and he said a lot of people thought the same but still the owner didn’t change the name in the menu. Additionally you get the food very fast so you go faster. And the owner started to do things like water the plants next to the table with a water hose. Definitely do not spend time or money here.
