In summary, stay away from this restaurant!!! During my 2 week trip in Croatia I had the pleasure of trying different restaurants and tasting the local food. Everywhere I’ve been to was great but this place. Besides low quality food I had there, after visiting the other restaurants in the island of Hvar, I learned that they are very overpriced. When I got there the waiter told me that many of the items were not available and helped me pick a local meal for 270kn saying that the dish is amazing. After 40 minutes he brought the food. It didn’t look great but I would’ve been happy if it tasted good. The food was the most disgusting food I’ve ever had. I only had a piece of the meat and the sauce and I couldn’t have any more. After I told him that I didn’t like the food and I haven’t touch any but a small piece of it he disappeared for 20 minutes. After some back and forth I paid 320kn for the meal I barely touched and a small order of pate. I slept hungry that night even though I paid the most for a dinner in Croatia. At the other restaurants in the Island I was able to have amazing fresh premium fish with wine, appetizers and drinks for less than 300 kn/person. I hope this restaurant improves the food quality and management; and realizes that treating visitors poorly will not help their business in...

My group came here on our skipper’s recommendation. Everything was okay, except for the bill. My husband and I said we would share the catch of the day. Another couple did the same. We speak Croatian and English, so translation was not an issue.

At the end of the meal, the waiter said he couldn’t give us a receipt until we pay for everything, so we paid. When the bill came out, we noticed we were charged four times the amount instead of the two orders we made.

Additionally, the waiter conveniently added bread and umak (spread) charges to our bill. We didn’t order or get either of these. When we asked about the charges, the waiter shrugged it off and said we can’t make changes after payment… hilarious.

We’ve enjoyed many restaurants in Hvar during our stay, some higher end than this location and the prices were reasonable and...

Dining at Konoba Kotin was a true highlight of our time on Hvar. Tucked away from the crowds, this charming konoba offers authentic Dalmatian flavors in a warm, welcoming setting.

From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The seafood was incredibly fresh — the grilled fish and octopus carpaccio were standouts — and everything was prepared with simple, honest ingredients that let the flavors shine.

The ambiance is rustic and cozy, with just the right touch of elegance. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a romantic evening under the stars.

If you’re looking for an authentic local experience with exceptional food and heartfelt service, Konoba Kotin is not to be missed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can’t wait...

We arrived to the restaurant on a dingy and received free mooring for our catamaran for dining at this restaurant. View was fabulous, I ordered the sirloin medium rare. The centre of the steak was cooked medium rare, however the rest was very overcooked. Lack of seasoning on the potatoes and steak made it a very bland and disappointing meal. Came with half a cherry tomato as the dressing, potatoes were over oiled and overcooked, needed salt. The specially dishes other customers ordered looked very nice however. Would order differently if I came back.

Konoba Kotin - excellent food, nice view Konoba Kotin is known for its terrace jutting out over the sea. It is not possible to dine any closer to the sea. Fresh fish is the order of the day since fishermen coming directly to the restaurant with their catch. Many of Kotins guests also arrive by yachts, taking advantage of the restaurants moorings and collection service. Food is delicious and little pricey. We ordere grilled fish an calamari. See the pictures. Excellent food with slow service.
