Konoba Dubovica — Restaurant in Grad Hvar

Absolutely must visit place in Hvar especially if you looking for authentic Croatian konoba experience . We came here in the early morning to swim in the Cristal clear waters right outside of this wonderful family owned konoba Dubovica and then had an amazing lunch . Every single dish was delicious and the grilled fish was to die for … probably one the best fish we ever had, delicious home made wine . The location was, of course, awesome. But the food was not very good. We had shrips and tuna salad. The shrimps was just that -shrimps. They were quite ok, but was accompanied by only by stale bread, no sauce, no salad. The tuna was much worse. Canned(at least it tasted like it) very salty and unpalatable. Se cercate un ristorante in riva al mare in una caletta meravigliosa con prezzi non turistici e cibo fantastico, questo è il posto giusto. Si trova nella caletta Dubovica, con un mare stupendo. Siamo stati qui due volte, una a pranzo e una a cena il giorno dopo. Il personale è gentilissimo ed ospitale, ci si sente a casa. Il cibo viene pescato la mattina stessa, noi abbiamo ordinato pesce, gamberi e calamari fritti accompagnati da patate lesse. È tutto così buono e genuino da emozionarsi. I prezzi sono onestissimi, una frittura per 2 costa €11. Il ristorante in sé è una vecchia casa di Hvar che conserva le sue caratteristiche rustiche e poco curate. L’unica pecca è la strada per arrivarci, sono 10 minuti di discesa rocciosa che possono risultare un po’ faticosi, ma ne vale la pena.
