🌟 More Than Just Dinner A Work of Art by the Sea 🌟
We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Konoba Ringo during our stay in Hvar, and it was without a doubt one of the most memorable culinary experiences we’ve ever had.
From the moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the setting: fishing nets draped across the ceiling, hand‑carved wood, thoughtful décor in every corner… it felt like stepping into a scene from a film authentic, artistic, and full of soul.
We started with a swordfish carpaccio that was simply perfect fresh, thinly sliced, delicate yet full of flavor. Then came the highlight: a kilo of turbot, cooked to absolute perfection and served with such elegant simplicity that the quality of the fish truly shone through. It was hands down the best turbot I’ve ever tasted.
And then there’s Yuri, the owner a genuinely wonderful person. His kindness and humanity touched us deeply. He welcomed us with genuine warmth, checked in on us during the meal, and made us feel truly valued guests. His attention to detail and heartfelt demeanour set the experience apart that kind of generosity isn’t common and definitely not something to be taken for granted.
Konoba Ringo isn’t just a restaurant it’s an experience. A perfect blend of outstanding cuisine, magical atmosphere, and heartfelt hospitality.

Read moreHonestly, this place is truly a gem. You have to go out of your way to get there and walk past another restaurant, but I promise it’ll be worth it. No menu, the owner just tells you what they’re making/have available and you get to pick your fish based on what they caught that day. You pay based ok the weight of the fish. The owner is so friendly (but honestly, every Croatian we’ve encountered has been friendly). He sat at our table for a few minutes to get to know us, explain how they do things, and also poured us some grappa to get the meal started. Two things to note/keep in mind - it’s a steep downhill to get there and it’s cash only. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a family run, catch of the day sort of place. Is also a great...
Read moreGreat, simple fresh fish restaurant on the north side of Hvar. Caters to sailboats, but you can get here driving or by taxi from Hvar town. Call a day in advance to book a table. Then call again when you are an hour before arriving in the bay. The owner will come out in his dinghy and guide to you a mooring ball, and even hand it to you or tie your yacht off med-mooring style to the rocks on the bay if needed.
Great service. Simple dishes of fresh fish, cooked potatoes, salad, octopus. One wine to choose from! Wonderful service, great place to moor up for the night. The bay has crystal clear waters and is a joy to swim in before your dinner and the morning after before you set sail for Vis or other...
