Restaurant 'Salvator' — Restaurant in Grad Samobor

One of restaurants that always served reliably tasty food, with excellent service and pleasant inside atmosphere. Speaking of food, previous time I had baked savory fresh cheese strudel - "zapečeni štrukli" and strudels themselves were soft as a cloud and very tasty, but they have baked it for service with cooking cream instead of sour cream, and cooking cream unfortunately spoiled those tasty strudels. And my salad was vinegary overpowered. And my partner had Samobor's steak and it was below average. Our latest visit was disappointing again, we have ordered calf shank that was jusualy their speciality. But, the waiter brought us a bone and the meat was cut off. Usually they bring us whole shank to be cut at the table. And the reason for that manuver was very prosaic - they have cheated with few pieces of less expensive meat and also added weight to charge us a higher price. We went on a weekend without a reservation and got a table after a short wait. The main courses were good and the portions generous, the desserts even better. The value for money was good and the service was friendly, if a little overwhelmed. One star less because we were told that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant, so we put our dog (a Maltese that doesn't shed) on a lead outside the restaurant, while a woman with three large dogs entered the restaurant behind us. After asking again (a another waiter) why our dog had to wait outside the restaurant, the waiter said that if he didn't bark he could go in. Standardized rules would be easier for...

We were looking for a restaurant in Samobor to have Sunday lunch all over the town while this place was right there, in front of us. Food arrived really quickly even though the waiter said they were quite full and busy in the kitchen. All four of us were really happy with the food, great menu, lots of options and prices are normal. Service was very quick all the time to meet our demands. There is paid parking right next to this place but often it is full. Call first just in case...
