We hiked 3 hours from our apartment to the top viewpoint of Marjan forest park, so we wanted to end at Kasjuni beach for a relaxing experience. We ordered drinks and finger food (fries+mozzarella sticks then fries+chicken wings - each platter was 20 euro). There is a minimum spend of 100 euro if you want to pay by credit card. So 6 drinks + 2 platters of food came to 116 euro (we are 3 people). The prices were high, but we expected it as it seems to be like this with cocktails especially. We enjoyed ourselves because the atmosphere was lively, the music was loud and they played good “club” type of music… it does give off that beach club vibe. There were lots of people when we arrived at the restaurant/ bar terrace at 5pm. It adds to that party ambience if you’re looking for that. Mainly tourists there, of course…. We heard French, English, Spanish, Italian, Croatian. The beach is spectacular. The views are beautiful. The sunset was breathtaking. Renting sun beds cost a lot, I believe 35 euro each…. We got there “late” so we lounged on some unoccupied sun beds right by the water and no one kicked us out… maybe because the place was closing right after sunset so they weren’t too picky about it. So try that next time… we each lounged on a sun bed from 6-7pm for free… kind of makes up for the overpriced drinks & menu ;) What’s left to be desired is the service. It’s something that keeps coming back as I’m writing reviews in Croatia… The workers/employees seem so annoyed and bothered by the customers, especially as we are tourists and don’t speak Croatian. There’s no smile on their face, there’s no effort to be friendly or attentive. Again, we didn’t expect spectacular service because we got that vibe everywhere else we visited in Zagreb and Split. If you go there with a positive attitude and looking for a great atmosphere and party vibe, all while expecting high prices for cocktails and the presence of grumpy waiters, this is the place for you. Had a blast, honestly. Just don’t let the grumpiness get to you and spoil your mood. P.S the beach water was a little chilly as expected, super clean and crystal clear!!!!! I try chicken burger with pommes for 15€ and espresso was 2€ (normally was espresso 1,2 till 1,6€ in all coffee bars in Split or Stobreč-Split). Problem is they only takes a cash and I must later gives to my friend he pay for him and me because he has cash (i only has a card). They tell us only in cash!! I was shocked via (from) another reviews - that some ppl wrote they tell them from 30€ or from 50€ or from 70€ possible to pay with card. But to us didn't. But my friend didn't talking good English and maybe find out that he is Czech (looks like typically Czech - bad/ugly clothes, ugly swimm wear and was come there to sit, when is still not dry from sea). I like the espresso, was nice. Chicken burger was so good and tasty and I really like it! More than one in restaurant inside Split (which I tasted start of June). I was on Kašjuni plaža Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I eat in Joe's beach club only on Wednesday 9. August 2023. But I was satisfied with my 17€ which I sent it. They even play a nice music and makes a good vibes atmosphere. Only the stuff I met - the man waiter was so rude, so unfriendly, didn't even gives me chance to smoking like a human bean. I find way, no problem. I knows Croatian men is like Czech men - dacan/buran means not good character. I find this out in June 2021, June 2023. And August 2023 was shocked that they existed also a good characters men in Split Croatia (I was wund my left knee jus few days before that holiday and has bandage for knee and walking stick). Thanks for taxi driver and all another who helped me afternoon down to Kašjuni plaža from bus 12. Only was shocked me the price for sunbed = 35€ for 1 day. Even late afternoon wanted and not reduced the price if see i has a walking stick (is after 4:30pm). And also must be payied in cash. Than my friend was so angry, but pay for me.

Obviously this place is in a beautiful location. But to have many arbitrary rules about how to pay and where to sit is ridiculous considering each lounge chair is 35 euro. My partner and I wanted to sit in lounge chairs directly next to each other but were told we had to sit with an umbrella between us. So a random stranger could come and sit inches next to each of us. We complied however we were relieved when some other guests came and asked us to move so they could sit together as well. We assumed this was a happy solution for everyone. However, when the woman came and saw that we changed she gave us a huge attitude. We assured her that it seemed to accommodate everyone. She told us “you don’t get to decide that. I do.” Frankly, for the luxury price of the sun beds, I expect service to the same standard. Not to be scolded like a child and stressed for the afternoon each time she walked by. Our waitress was kind and polite. Bathrooms were well equipped with soap and toilet paper but filthy. Also, you can pay for food in euros but only over 70€ otherwise only in cash. But to rent the chairs you need to pay in cash. Seems not only suspicious but arbitrary.

This place is a scam. Myself and my friend came here before a day at the beach hoping to grab some food and drinks but honestly this place was the only place we regret going to throughout our whole holiday. Firstly, the food menu is terrible with barely anything available. We actually came after seeing online that they did burgers but they no longer do this. We arrived at around 11:40 and only the tortilla wraps were available at that time (chicken, tuna and vegetarian) - my friend ordered a chicken one and I asked for the vegetarian one as I am a vegetarian but this was not available. Already not the best start as I don’t eat meat and the only alternative for a vegetarian was a margarita pizza. The server was quite rude and unapologetic when I explained that I was a vegetarian and told us then we can order a pizza but it will only be available when the kitchen is open which is in 30 minutes. Reluctantly, we agreed as there was no alternative. Now the description of ‘kitchen’ is a massive stretch and exaggeration - it is actually just a women placing pre-made food into a tiny toaster oven. When the food eventually arrived, my pizza was just glorified canteen food - my pizza was super tiny and my friend’s ‘chicken’ wrap had two pieces of chicken in it. For both our meals, it was 17 euros each which was ridiculous. We literally had pizza the previous night for our evening meal and paid 13 euros for a much better quality pizza! The service was slow throughout and we felt so unwelcomed. The problem with this place is that it is the only available establishment near the beach so clearly the business is willing to charge a ridiculous amount and exploit customers as there is no alternative around. It is such a disappointment because the view/location is so beautiful and this kind of establishment could be a real gem. Don’t bother giving money to this terrible...
