Konoba Bogo — Restaurant in Grad Stari Grad

Firstly, would like to acknowledge experience as a whole. It was just perfect. The service, the food, the atmosphere, so true to truly Croatian experience.

We have visited this restaurant throughout few years and it never disappoints us. This year it was so good I have to write on my way home this review.

Let me tell you, the wine here WOW, it’s so light, fresh and very summery, crisp (table wine 1L). The food - honestly? I don’t understand why it has “only” 4,5 stars. It just does not match up. It should be at least 4.9 - without exaggeration. I had HOMEMADE pomme frit and a beef steak (with mushroom sauce - I don’t normally enjoy mushrooms, however - it was the best sauce, wanted to lick the plate badly btw), cooked perfectly to medium, so tender and juicy. With that I also tried their red wine - wow. Sooooo goood - again!

And also, we waited a little bit longer than usual this time but they brought us some cherry liquor on the house and it was perfect too, even tho we waited really not much longer than usual. This says a lot about staff here. They are very careful, observing and so kind. Both of the waitresses are outstanding. And finally, the atmosphere is just so peaceful, quiet and relaxing (they even have little turtles there!!!!) and very welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody, who wants to taste, see and feel true Croatian cuisine. Cannot wait to come back. Thank you for great service and great food. PS: I wanted to add some photo of the food but tasted first and ate half of the plate before I even took the picture...

Our favourite meal we have had on Hvar so far this year. Both the red and white 1l table wines were delicious. Most of us had the beefsteak, which was cooked to perfection served with a delicious sauce and the best fries known to man! The waitress was lovely and very attentive, looking after us and our children, who were sitting on their own table, perfectly. We will definitely be back a few times...

Really cozy restaurant in small cozy town. The restaurant looked really cozy and welcoming from the outside, so we had to go in there. Definitely worth it!! We ordered a pizza and tasted amazing. Just wow! The waiter was really sweet and welcoming. Prices are also affordable. Definitely worth going here for eating, but also just for enjoying the nice surroundings....
