The food, drinks and staff are worth 5 stars but my post is not regarding them. I've been coming to this place often for a long time and it was THE place to go for coffee, lunch and an enjoyable beach bar experience with sea access. The pricing was excellent as well and I would continue coming even if it was more expensive. However this summer I have recently came and found that the sea access has become available only for "VIP" guests.. This is outrageous. So because of 8 sunbeds priced at 13€ the whole "beach bar" (ironic isn't it) ~50 people is now not able to use the stairs to get to the sea. I have asked the staff about this and they told me that a lot of locals were complaining about this as well. You would have to walk 50m through the whole restaurant and enter via the beach itself even though there are 2 pairs of stairs 5m away from you. But guess what? You are not a "VIP" guest.. As a person who lives off turism as well and as someone who has travelled half the world I find this very sad. Sitting there today I have thought of at least 5 ways you could give the VIPs their privacy and their own sea access and let the others use the ladders to the sea in the same time. Hopefully the owner will realise this is bad for long term business and keep the locals coming back for what it once was. Best regards

This place was amazing to us. On our first night of arrival we were too late for food, I don’t know his name but he looks a lot like Ferran Torres, he helped us a lot. We decided to come back almost every day during our stay in Duce and wow, good priced delicious cocktails, amazing Zlatni Pan beer and the best pizzas for only €6.90. €12.90 for a jumbo pizza the size of the tables!! They show football also, champions league, EPL, I’m a Celtic fan and they accommodated me and my girlfriend and showed the Old Firm. An absolute god send for us, Stipe was amazing also, amazing guy, even the owner was nice to us, I believe he was also called Stipe or Sime something like that. Great atmosphere even when Eurovision was on. Absolutely loved the place and it was a staple of our holiday, they even do Shisha for 20 euros! We will talk about how amazing Shooko was for a long time, it may seem over the top for a beach bar but the place really felt like a safe haven to visit every day to unwind with a drink and lovely food and a great atmosphere, absolutely loved it here and will definitely be back if there’s ever a time we’re back in Duce! Also shoutout to the local Shooko cat who became our friend there too!

We chose Shooko for lunch today because we were in a rental boat and the steps at the end of the restaurant made it really easy to disembark. I ordered the Big Shooka Burger with chips plus a few drinks to takeaway. The staff person who served me was delightful - so friendly and helpful. She even offered to bring our order to the steps when it was ready. So nice! The burger was big and delicious and the chips were good! We were glad that we’d only ordered one meal to share because we aren’t big eaters and this was definitely enough for both of us. We finished it off and felt just right - not hungry or overfull and there was no waste. We will return to try some of the other meals because while I was waiting for the burger, I watched other dishes being served and they looked great! The location, the food and the service make this a must visit restaurant in Omiš.

I visited this place twice.

First time was nice, good service, nice food. The place has a beautiful location, which is why I visited it again with my family.

The second time I ordered a vanilla milkshake, recieved coffee milkshake, pancakes, which had hair in it (they remade them and brought again, without hair this time), couple glasses of wine two times, the second time it was forgotten and we had to remind that we ordered some. The restaurant was very busy and there was inly one waitress, so we did not take the mistakes to heart.

However, after asking for the bill, the waitress asked us how we would like to pay (which is normal) she did not bring us the bill but the card mashine only instead. We asked to see the bill, since we wanted to make sure everything is correct and it is very normal to bring the bill first and then ask to pay. When we requested the bill dor the second time, the waitress asked what kind of card will we pay, which confused us. On our cards they do not say what type of card it is and no where else did the staff ask something like this, so we guessed but showed the card to the waitress as well. After this she brought the bill and then came again with the card machine.

After we payed, she got angry and started shouting at us, saying that it was master card not maestro, so on the bill it also says maestro and not master card with wich we payed ans proceeded saying that that is why you need to pay first and then you can get the bill. All of this ended with her saying 'thanks a lot' rudely and storming of.

None of my family members nor I understood what happened - we payed for everything we consumed, but got yelled at. Instead of having a nice and relaxing evening, we got awful service and loads of mistakes from the waitress side and then were made to be the villains.

Although the first visit to the restaurant was very nice, I will never come back here again and will most definitely tell others not to go here too, so their vacation, mood or day would not be ruined...
