Restoran Plitvice — Restaurant in Općina Plitvička Jezera

Worst restaurant experience ever. I can't believe they've got those 5 stars reviews. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and food, It took 20 min to get one glass of wine not even quarter full, and we kept asking for another one like 4 times and got it after another 20 min, also not even half full. What kind of restaurant takes 40 min to serve beverages and brought it half and half? Ha.. The photo I attached is untouched glasses, you can see it's very little. (Taste was not good anyway). Whenever I tried to make eye contact with servers, they would either ignore or pay very little attention. They never stopped at the table and finish their sentence, they'd answer passing/walking by. The fish dish was okay, but the rest was a joke. Whoever said their Ratatouille was the best in those reviews? Lie. It was bit of tomatoes and peppers in watery sauce, I found 0 eggplant (not as the menu described). The shrimp tomato soup has frozen shrimps in it, feels like chewing rubber. The highlight would be paying part that they don't get a signal for paying machine that they would call the customer to come outside under the rain to pay. He could've just took the check and my card and brought back the receipt to sign. But customer has to serve the servers here, you would need to go out yourself under the rain...

Don’t get fooled by high ratings of this place! We decided to drop by to this restaurant on our way to Plitvice lakes. Surely great opinions on Google also were a decisive factor to choose this place. Sadly our disappointment was equally high as the ratings… We ordered pasta with lamb and nuts that has arrived overcooked and flooded with water (probably from frozen meat since we didn’t see lamb anywhere else on the menu), risotto with shrimps that was mediocre and some french fries with truffle and parmigiano. Surprisingly only the last one was ok but the fries could have been a bit warmer. After sending back the lamb pasta to the kitchen we decided to give this place one more chance and get another plate of pasta this time in truffle sauce since the one served with fries was good and fresh. Yet again our modest expectations have been crushed by overcooked pasta in a completely flavorless and unsalted sauce… Even a fair amount of truffles was not able to save this dish. Last but least price wise this place is definitely aspiring to be on the high end but there’s nothing to backup those...

I can say nothing about the food because we didn't have a chance to try it. It's the first time in my life that I left a restaurant without eating. We (four adults and one little child) had waited for 1 h 45 minutes!!! It was very late, our son was tired and we simply couldn't wait any longer. The only thing we got were vague excuses: "it's a bit messy in the kitchen" - quite an understatement... During this waiting time, we had to go and fetch the menu ourself because nobody would care to bring it to us, to ask five times for the baby chair, and to ask again and again about our order. Waiters completely ignored us, and when we were lucky to get their attention, they told us that the food was "almost ready", would come in "10 minutes" and, much later, in "7 minutes". The 7 minutes had long passed when we finally decided to leave. It's one thing for the kitchen to be overwhelmed (though such delays should obviously never happen) but the casual and totally indifferent way in which this unprecedented incident was handled is what made it entirely...
