We wanted to go out for a meal with friends and looked up this place . The reviews promised 4,6 stars so we thought it is worth a try. I have only one word to describe our experience - Disappointing. This restaurant failed on every level . Our friends ordered mixed meat. There was simply too much meat on the plate but the quality suffered for the quantity. The meat was fatty and tasteless. My boyfriend ordered pork which was undercooked and with a lot of bones . The chips that came with the meat were soggy and tasteless. The plate of food I ordered was tasty , I had shrimp, but it had no side dish and such a small portion that I was still hungry after the meal . The attitude of the waiter was questionable . He didn’t seem to be overly friendly or pleasant , no welcoming atmosphere created by him. The girls who were helping out had a more friendly approach . The salad that we ordered as a side dish was lacking in imagination . The dessert was mediocre, I had a Black Forest cake. To top it all of , it wasn’t the cheapest restaurant . I expected so much more from a place where lots of people seem to have had a great dining...

Today, I revisited Goran Restaurant and decided to try their pancakes. The young chef was on duty, which is always a good thing as it brings freshness and creativity.

The pancakes were perfectly baked, golden brown, and with the ideal thickness. The batter was light and airy, which is crucial for good pancakes.

As for the filling, the pancakes were served with ice cream. The ice cream was creamy and rich, perfectly complementing the taste of the pancakes. The young chef showed creativity and boldness in combining flavors, resulting in a unique and unforgettable experience.

My wife and I are with Goran restaurant for almost 25 years now. During this time, the restaurant has developed from a traditional inn to a top address in Vrsar. The restaurant is family-run and guests are serviced with courtesy. Marco, the owner and manager of the restaurant usually looks after his guests personally and is always listening to individual requests. The menu is extensive and meets all expectations of international and typical Istrian cuisine. Fish dishes are particularly recommended, but also the best roast suckling pig from the grill in the region. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. In summer, the large terrace invites guests for coming together and in the cold season we like to stay in the dining room with its cozy fireplace. We visit the restaurant regularly and can really recommend it to every visitor all over the year.

Meine Frau und ich besuchen das Restaurant Goran seit nunmehr fast 25 Jahren. In dieser Zeit hat sich das Restaurant von einem traditionellen Gasthof zu einer Top-Adresse in Vrsar entwickelt. Das Restaurant ist familiär geführt und die Gäste werden zuvorkommend bedient. Marco, der Besitzer und Geschäftsführer des Restaurants, kümmert sich zumeist persönlich um seine Gäste und hat immer ein offenes Ohr für individuelle Wünsche. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und erfüllt alle Erwartungen an internationale und typisch istriasche Küche. Besonders empfehlenswert sind Fischgerichte, aber auch das beste Spanferkel vom Grill der Region. Die Preise sind angemessen und die Portionen großzügig. Im Sommer lädt die große Terrasse zum gemütlichen Beisammensein ein und in der kalten Jahreszeit verweilen wir gerne im Speisesaal mit seinem gemütlichen Kamin.
