Manzoku | Iberostar — Restaurant in Cárdenas

I normally don’t complain much, but in this case, I regret that I cannot even give a -5. This restaurant has nothing to do with Japanese food. It starts off with no chopsticks and no Japanese drinks like sake. Now let’s get to the food. First you get some rolls of so called sushi, which are basically just rice. Then you get a Ramen soup with Italian tagliatelle instead of Japanese noodles. The main courses are either fried rice with some mixture of meat and soy sauce poured over the rice. Or some fish with mashed pumpkin. I’ve never seen either of that in Japan. The dessert offer was either chocolate ice cream or chocolate mousse, which I also never saw in Japan. There’s so many easy and simple things how they could improve, but if the chef has never been to Japan, It’s really difficult. Service and food were mediocre. The chef was amicable but the lady who took our order and presented the menu was off putting. We were given sad looking " sushis" as starters which I didn't care to taste. No chopsticks then came a thin soup with some vermicelli floating inside. For dinner you only have two choices, a so-called fried rice or fried fish with mashed pumpkin. Hardly Japanese. Then the pièce de résistance was the dessert which we were told was either crème brûlée or ice cream. The dessert came and what I got was some kind of chocolate mousse and my son got one scoop of strawberry ice cream with a dollop of red sauce. Have they never heard of or seen a crème brûlée???
