D'KMINO — Restaurant in Cuba

I just came back from 9 days in Habana abd tries lots of eateries. This place is just the right size (not too big or small, with some indoor and some outdoor seating). The decorating has a colonial feel, but not pretentious. Service is fast, friendly, and courteous. Wonderfully clean. And right in the La Rampa/23rd/41st strip where it's easy to find taxis. Also, close enough to go check out La Tropicana, but not eat there. BEST: This the best typical dishes I had! I was with another person and we sampled a lot of traditional appetizers, a sandwich Cubano, ropa viajo, lemonada con soda, and dessert. Price came in at $35ish, but we stuffed ourselves silly, with smiles on our faces, and still had cajas para llevar for two more meals. WORST: Only one small complaint. They didn't have picadillo. ASI COMO LA ELABORACION DE UNA CREMA DE QUESO. EL PROBLEMA VINO CON LOS PLATOS FUERTES. DOS LOMO AHUMADOS ESPECIALES. EL LOMO ESTABA DURO, EXTREMADAMENTE COCINADO. LE PROTESTAMOS A CAMARERA Y "ENCARGADO" DEL NEGOCIO. SE EXTREMARON EN EXPLICACIONES Y DISCULPAS. TERMINO TODO RECHAZANDO LOS PLATOS Y "PROMETIENDO" DOS RACIONES LIBRE DE PAGO PARA LLEVAR DEL LOMO. TODO ACEPTADO DESPUES DE DECIRNOS QUE YA HABIAN BOTADO AL COCINERO Y QUE ESE HABIA SIDO SU PRIMER Y ULTIMO DIA DE TRABAJO. LA DESAGRADABLE SORPRESA VINO AL LLEGAR A LA CASA Y ABRIR LOS CONTENEDORES CON LAS SUPUESTAS RACIONES DE LOMO. LO QUE HICIERON FUE PONER EN LOS CONTENEDORES LA MISMA COMIDA POR NOSOTROS RECHAZANDA. SOLO UN PEDAZO DE LOMO CUANDO EN REALIDAD ERAN DOS POR RACION SIENDO LOS MISMOS LOMOS RECHAZADOS. DENUNCIO POR ESTE MEDIO EL ENGAÑO , LA BURLA Y LA MENTIRA DE TODOS LOS "RESPONSABLES" DE ESE LUGAR DETESTABLE. NO ES MI DESEO NI QUE ESOS ESTAFADORES ME CONTESTEN NI MUCHO MENOS QUE ME INDERNICEN. The restaurant is very modern, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. D' kmino is open 24/7 and the menu is very good. They have good hamburgers and good lasagna. D'kamino is good for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and munchies. They have a very good restaurant upstairs,good for fancy meetings and encounters.
