THE LODGE BAR CATALKOY — Restaurant in Çatalköy-Esentepe Belediyesi

Recent change of management (2025) so will update my review A.S.A.P. First impressions of The Lodge in (2023) Young guy behind the bar was friendly and polite so we felt welcome as we were the only two people there. This was a Friday Evening just turned 7pm. It was a music night and we usually stay clear of places that have this at all times. We both ordered some food and both dishes were very good . The service was excellent and the food was tasty but very expensive for a Catalkoy Bar. The place started to fill up around 8.30. a nice bunch of people all very friendly. But the food prices and horrendous cost of drinks brings The Lodge down to a four star venue such a shame. So the only downside is the drinks are on the high side compared to most local venues and has to be taken into consideration. This bar should be known as the English embassy of North Cyprus, as it's a really nice bar that gives you a piece of England under the sun.

We randomly went here one evening for a beer and after speaking with the lovely owners who mentioned having a singer and doing food for a set fee we were in!

Heading down for a Saturday night out, I was taken on a trip down memory lane having a classic English night out. I had Chilli Con Carne which tasted like my mate's mum's, a dish I'd not eaten in over 20 years and with a nice cold beer.

The highlight of the evening was the live performance from a Canadian lady that sang some 80s pop and soul classics, as the sun went down.

If you want a nice easy time, with a very chilled vibe then head here. A lovely venue with extremely friendly staff, and a great experience of English culture under the sun!...

Nice bar and friendly staff. Cosy in winter. Bar prices normal rates. Food is typically bar type is ok nothing special. Not a good place to watch sport on TV since the 2 screes are behind bar and very small. Draft beer often not available for reason. Friendly customers usually Russian, Brits and some locals. Local bands and DJ play at weekend. Some bands are good 👍
