Ταβέρνα Σαλώμη — Restaurant in Κοινότητα Αγίου Τύχωνα

I called for a reservation before we go, the waiter wasn't helpful at all when I told him that we called, instead of that he left us waiting and we had to ask him after almost 10 minutes where our table was, he put us inside even if we asked for a table outside, after asking the other guy they put us outside... Anyway, the service was too slow and the waitress disregardful, after 15 minutes that we finally seated to our table we asked to order because none was coming, the waiter said that they only have meze which they never mentioned so we left and we went to the next tavern (which was so nice!)... Unfortunately we didn't eat so I have no opinion about their food. Idk if the service is always like this, but if it is you must fix it :))

It is a little bit difficult to access this place, because the streets in the area are very narrow with many ups and downs and a lot of turns. The restaurant is relatively small and serves mainly meat, so if you are a vegetarian or a sea food lover then this would not be an appropriate place for you... The menu is very concise, they serve only one salad which I didn’t enjoy that much because it had a lot of oregano on it and a lot of sauce. The pork souvlaki was ok and pork fillet was a little bit rubbery. I didn’t try the lamp, but fried potatoes & tzatziki were very nice. The service was good and it was nice that they served us an additional small plate with halloumi that was on the house. At the end, they also offered us a piece of chocolate cake that was very nice. We paid 20€/person and we were really full with food...

As you all know, reviews on Google can be faked and a lot of businesses have many 5-star reviews from friends, family, "bribed" reviewers, and so on.

However, most of the time, the 1-star reviews are truthful. We did not check the 1-star reviews before going. Not only was the food DISGUSTING, the owner also seems to be a little deranged and you can see that by looking at his/her responses on Google Reviews.

There was also a customer who said that the place was full of roaches and the owner even made fun of them, UNREAL. Also, if you look at the number of likes on the 1-star reviews you can immediately understand that this place is not good. I regret not checking the reviews and just looking at the score.

If you are reading this, there are a ton of other taverns you could go and have a good time, with 1000 times...
