This Taverna is located a little bit up the hill in a small village.
On a Thursday the Taverna was only open for dinner in the evening.
We made a reservation to be sure to get a free table.
After entering we saw that this is not a typical Greek or Cyprus Taverna.
The older pictures displayed at GOOGLE MAPS does not show how the Taverna is looking now!
Later the cook (owner?) came to our table and was explaining that since 6 months it was totally renovated and under new Management!
The tall waiter with beard has problems with the English language.
The presented menu was showing plenty of meals which were not available.
The wine list is quite extensive and offering wine bottles at fair prices.
Finally we ordered Tzatziki and Moussaka.
The waiter also said that Moussaka and Pastizio is the same...
Of course it is not the same at all.
If his statement was depending on his knowledge or lack of English knowledge is what we do not know.
10 minutes after our arrival a group of 5 people from Cyprus arrived.
They got their meals first....
Finally after reminding the waiter for our ordered Tzatziki we got it some minutes later.
The taste was average. We have missed Garlic in it.
Then the freshly prepared Moussaka was served.
The taste was good but we have missed the important meat inside.
So I have made my complaints.
Then the answer of the waiter was very interesting: "Yes it is vegetarian"
I have answered: "How can I know it? You have not informed me." " Yes, but here it is written in the menu!" "But there is only written (V)! Shall I interprete this?"
After sending the meal back I ordered grilled chicken.
Quite fast it was prepared and served.
But we have not had plates and cutlery on our table and needed to ask for it....
The white wine was of good taste and quality. Refilling the wine was self service.
Finally we did not needed to pay for the returned Moussaka.
My subjective personal rating:

Read moreAbsolutely amazing traditional Cypriot tavern. Owned by young, honest, hard-working guys.... and very talented. The food is so delicious, they deserve Michelin stars. Rich taste, warm, excellent presentation and cosy atmosphere. Worth the traveling to Agios Tychon if you are holidaying in Limassol or even Cyprus to try 'mezedes' which includes a lot the island's of traditional food.
We had our daughters baptism there and we cannot be happier with the service they have provided us with. All the guests loved the food, even those who traveled a long distance said it was worth it and they will go back again.
10/10 for everything.
Thank you guys and well done for...
