I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at The Local Pub was truly bizarre and unpleasant. We were a party of seven, planning to eat out for my brother’s birthday and had chosen this place for what we hoped would be a relaxed evening. Unfortunately, it turned into anything but.
The man running the place was shockingly rude. At one point, he directly said to someone in our group: “You don’t know what to make of me, do you? I’ll tell you — I’m a dick, and I don’t give a shit about customers.” I honestly thought it might be some kind of act, especially given the strange photo on the wall of him and his partner dressed like characters from Fawlty Towers. But this wasn't quirky humour — just outright hostility.
The atmosphere was so uncomfortable that we decided to skip dinner entirely, had one drink, and left. A real shame, considering we came in ready to enjoy ourselves and support a local business. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly or...

It is an Oasis in a desert of mediocrity, the beer on draught is well cared for and the food is second to none I have had in the past week and a half. I'm Happy I am able to fit in a visit to try out the locally famous all you can eat Sunday Lunch at €13.99.
The host is larger then life and his long suffering wife gives as good as she gets. They were made for the Pub Trade.
