Tucked out of the way down a little side road. Nicely turned out restaurants with a few traditional bits and pieces dotted around.
Only meze on the menu, unless you're a kid then you get a little choice. We were happy with that though because that's what we were expecting, and the name should give it away, but I'm mentioning it in case anyone else thinks they can go and order a lasagne or something.
Like most of the decent meze restaurants you get the usual bread and 4 small dips, halloumi and lounza, charcoal grilled meats and a few chips. Here we also got a few snails, bit of liver, fried courgette balls, fried cheese sticks, ravioli smothered in cheese and a couple more different things. 2 salads were also served at the start. One a normal Greek salad, and one that I found interesting and quite tasty was a salad with tofu, grapes, dried figs and apricots, fresh pomegranate, peanut clusters and dressed in pomegranate sauce. I enjoyed it although it wasn't to everyone's taste. Finished off with some water melon and small pieces of a nice cream type jelly like dessert topped with nuts. Overall not bad. Service was good. Food was plentiful. 7/10 from us due to no kleftico and a couple of other dishes...

I have been here many times down the years and it’s sad to see what’s happened. A once great taverna has turned to the most skada taverna in Deryneia.
Food was awful. Portions were tiny. The meat was complete malakies.
Mishimou it’s mezedes. I’m sitting there like a vlaka waiting for some kleftiko and they bring cheese balls. Peeeeh.
I left and had to go and get souvlakia because I was hungry. I feel like a top Malaka because I’ve travelled 2000 miles to eat like a vasilias and was served some shestiko meal that you can get from some Albanian in Harringay. I am panta libimenos me to katastasi.
Service was terrible. Staff itan panta antropi! One yineka there was a proper faousa.
They charge the same prices as the great Forsos in Limassol. Panayia mou!
The only highlight at this restaurant are the salades so do yourself a favour and order the salad then leave and go to Costaris down the road for some lovely traditional...
Read moreWe ordered two meze, expecting something like a tasting menu with small bites—as we’re used to in Italy—but instead, each dish was almost a full portion. We’re not sure if that’s always the case, but we were pleasantly surprised.
There was a great variety and everything was prepared with care. We recognized some traditional Cypriot dishes we had already tasted during our trip, but here they felt even better—some with a special twist. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the final bill was surprisingly inexpensive considering the amount and quality of the food.
We definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic and generous Cypriot cuisine without...
