Konia Tavern – A Culinary Gem in Paphos
If you're visiting Paphos and searching for an unforgettable dining experience, Konia Tavern is not just worth a stop — it’s a destination in itself.
From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with the kind of genuine warmth and hospitality that turns a good meal into a memorable evening. The owner is incredibly welcoming, making you feel like you’ve walked into a home rather than just a restaurant.
Now to the highlight: the food — and what a feast it is!
We savored a perfectly grilled pork chop and chicken, both cooked to juicy perfection and seasoned just right. The Greek salad with creamy feta cheese was a refreshing companion to the meats — crisp, vibrant, and full of Mediterranean flavor.
As if that weren’t enough, a delightful surprise awaits: plates on the house with extra bites to enjoy — a wonderful touch that sets Konia Tavern apart. The freshly baked bread arrives at the table still warm, soft on the inside with a golden crust, the kind that calls for a second (and third) piece without shame.
And just when you think the evening couldn’t get any better, out come the freshly prepared loukoumades (awamat) — golden, crispy little clouds soaked in syrup. Absolutely divine.
All this is served with excellent service, thoughtful attention, and in a lovely outdoor setting that captures the charm of Cyprus — peaceful, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal under the stars.
And the best part? The prices are more than fair, especially given the quality and generosity on every plate. This is true value, done with heart.
In short, Konia Tavern is a shining example of authentic Cypriot hospitality and flavor. If you come to Paphos, do not leave without dining here. It’s a meal you’ll remember — and one you’ll dream about...
Read moreI recently visited Konia tavern in Paphos, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the live music was simply sensational, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. The service was exceptional, and I was particularly impressed by the attentiveness of our server, Angelo. Not only was he incredibly friendly and hospitable, but he also went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was unforgettable.
The food was beyond words - every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and packed with incredible flavors. We were impressed by the speed at which our food arrived, and it was evident that the chefs take great care and pride in their craft. I cannot emphasize enough how incredible the food was - it was undoubtedly some of the best I've ever had.
I must also commend the ambiance and overall atmosphere of the tavern. It was cozy, warm, and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a fantastic meal with friends and family. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the tasteful decor to the impeccable cleanliness.

Read moreWe discovered this place by accident as we stopped at a grocery store (who is very nice and honnest guy) in front and I mentioned we never tried a tavern. I quickly glanced at the google reviews and I knew we had to try.
Konia tavern submerges you into a different culture, one of freshness and variety. We were 5, ordered the mezze, chicken souvlaki and moussaka and could not finish most of it. It's not even the amount, its the variety, you will taste a dozen different dishes, one more tasty than the other. The best part: it's actually not that expensive. 79 Euros for 5 people that could not finish the food and a whole box of meat as take-away (and 2 Ouzos)...that's not bad at all, especially when you factor in that the food is super tasty and fresh. Food is special when it makes you forget about time. Konia is a pause in your day, you put eveything aside for a moment and enjoy every bite. What a memorable experience. Also, respect to the owner who gave us a few treats on the house and was very nive to us.
*Please note: check it out on Fridays and Saturdays for an entertaining experience, they have live music and the whole...
