Disgraceful – Worst Restaurant Experience Ever!
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.
We walked into the restaurant, and a man who didn’t even bother to say hello told us to sit right next to the toilets. The place already had an awful smell, and everything looked dirty. The chairs and tables seemed like they were picked up from a flea market, and the whole place felt like a shack.
As soon as we sat down, I immediately noticed that the so-called "homemade" wine was poured from a cardboard box, and the appetizers were straight out of a can. Most of the customers were elderly English people, who probably had no idea what they were actually being served.
We very politely asked to move to an identical table just a little further outside, and that’s when a staff member—I’m not sure if he was the owner—completely lost it. He started yelling like a madman in front of everyone, insisting that the table we wanted was for 8 people (when in reality, it was exactly the same as ours). His behavior was simply outrageous—he acted like someone who had completely lost control or forgot to take his medication.
We left immediately, and I made it very clear that such behavior is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant. Even if the food had been good (which, from what we saw, it wasn’t), when someone behaves like this, it ruins everything. I will personally make sure that this experience is shared so others don’t have to go through the same.
And honestly, who does he think he is? He works in a place that’s barely more than a shack, with dirty everything, a constant toilet smell, and furniture that looks like it was picked up from a flea market.

Read moreLet's put things into perspective, it's a roadside taverna so when I say the atmosphere is 5* it is compared to other roadside tavernas. The staff are friendly and the food was superb, even when compared to restaurants three times the price. We had bread and dips to start, dolmades as a main dish and rolled chicken as the other main. Two bottles of water, two coffees and a brandy all for the grand sum of €30. We chose to eat outside as it was a nice afternoon but be warned that it is on a busy road, on a hill, by traffic lights, so it can be noisy but there was plenty of room to dine inside had we wished to do so. I came here after it had been recommended by a friend and I have to say that it won't be my last visit. I can't agree with comments saying that the food is of poor quality and cheap ingredients, that was certainly not our experience and, as you can see from the photos, it was beautifully presented. Even the chips were delicious and I can't say that I've ever raved about chips before. All in all, if you are anywhere near, or can easily reroute, it is well...

The kind of tavern that you will regularly visit because of the warm ambiance, delicious food, and reasonable price.
Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. No matter how tired they look especially when it's late, they always put a genuine smile once you approach them.
The starters (warm pita bread and village bread with different dips, halloumi, and buttered shrimps) save you especially if you come starving.
Waiting time for main dish is not too long. On 10 May 2023, I found the Keftedes a little bit saltier than I preferred but the Mousakka on 16 May 2023 came out yummy. The Garlic Meatballs were so juicy. I also loved the lemon cake that they served with a scoop of ice cream. The pineapple with fire looked cool. In their updated menu, one shot of alcohol is included on top of a regular drink for €13.
Overall, this gem is worth your time. Don't miss it if...
