Kalamies Tavern — Restaurant in Nicosia

I came from Greece for vacations and I recently visited Kalamies and, unfortunately, had a rather disappointing experience. The food was mediocre at best, and the portions were surprisingly small given the high prices. For instance, the Greek salad, priced at 10€, was insufficient even for two people.

Overall, we ended up spending 40€ per person, which is not justified by the quality and quantity of the food we received. The experience left much to be desired, and I cannot recommend this restaurant based...

Everthing we took and ate was delicious, prepared homemade with fresh ingredients and all was prepared with heart and great taste. Surely one of the best taverns we've been across the entire Corfu Island. I highly recommend - especially the grilled stuffed squid and dolmades! I would rate it even higher...

You will not find a more authentic and honest Cypriot meze restaurant even if you tried. Wonderful “at home” experience enhanced by really friendly, professional service. You can not walk away hungry. And they have been around...
