Ypárchōtēlephōno — Restaurant in Nicosia

I was dissatisfied with the kleftiko costing €13 for two reasons: There was too much bone and not nearly enough meat compared to what I always get elsewhere. Even worse the meat though tender was really soaked in oil and I couldn't eat much anyway because of this. The accompanying potatoes (generous portion) and bulgur were good. They also give slices of cucumber and tomatoes and a whole onion as part of the meal.

This is the only dish I ever tried in this restaurant.

The service was also was unsatisfactory because they charged us for one soft drink we didn't have, they removed it after we pointed it out to them. Also they didn't bring to us the complementary sweet they were giving to all other clients until after we paid and complained about it. And they bring you a one litre bottle of water that you didn't order as if they are offering it to you but in fact they...

We booked for dinner on a Friday evening, and the service was absolutely awful. After placing our order, the waitress decided to memorize it instead of writing it down—which, unsurprisingly, led to her forgetting to place it altogether. We waited an hour before she came over and admitted she had completely forgotten.

After that, we had to wait another 30–45 minutes for our food to finally arrive. Honestly, we should’ve just walked out. Despite this mess, we gave her the benefit of the doubt.

The owner eventually came over to apologize, but “sorry” just didn’t cut it. To make matters worse, we still had to pay for the meal—even though the owner said the waitress would be covering the cost of her mistake.

We left extremely disappointed. We won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this...

First of all my chicken souvlaki was RAW thank God i didn’t eat it because i would be sick by now(you can see the picture). Service was horrible, We were very specific with our order and we had to ask 2-3 times to bring us our drinks and starters. Starters came but we had no plates to eat them. Then they also brought to us tzatziki and tahini but no pitta to eat it with. When we complained the server gave us attitude. Also the owner is very rude and he talked to me ironic, like he knows me from yesterday. I know you are pappous but times change you need to talk to your customers in a proffesional manner. Im not coming back here...
