No local food in Sunday (it is a taverna??!), dirty and messy bathroom. Better to buy something at Lidl
(They tried to force us to give tip xdd)

I took some time to reflect on your response, and I feel compelled to provide a more detailed account of my experience. It seems there might be some misunderstanding, so let me clarify.
I understand that you offer BBQ only on Sundays, and that's why there was no local food available during my visit. However, when I mentioned "No local food in Sunday (it is a taverna??!)," I was expressing my surprise, not criticism.
Regarding the tipping issue, I appreciate your explanation. It's possible that there was some miscommunication, and I'm glad you clarified your side of the story.
As for the food itself, we indeed sampled everything served to us. However, the chicken was dry and somewhat tough, and the side items such as potatoes, olives, and sauces didn't meet our expectations. We tried to eat what we could to avoid wasting food.
The small bucket placed on our table gave me the impression that a tip was being strongly encouraged. If your intention was not to pressure customers for tips, it might be helpful to reconsider this practice.
Lastly, I must address the state of the bathroom. It was quite unclean and unpleasant, which detracted from the overall dining experience. It's an essential part of any establishment, and I believe it deserves attention.
In conclusion, while I understand your perspective, I still believe that there's room for improvement. I mentioned Lidl as an alternative because my experience left me feeling unsatisfied. There's potential for your restaurant to provide a better experience to customers, and I hope my feedback can contribute to that.
Finally, I'd like to suggest that if your restaurant doesn't align with the characteristics of a taverna, it might be worth reconsidering the use of that term in your branding.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I genuinely hope it can lead to positive changes in your...
Read moreReally good place. I'd say this is a hidden gem because it seems far away from the key destinations. I walked here from "Edro 3" so I was SO HOT, sweaty, and my feet were killing me lol, shame the pool was closed (might open next week). But this is still a 5 star place as you can't judge a place in March on their pool being closed, i understand why (cost).
Stella was very efficient and friendly, lovely host, and the food was excellent and great value (that halloumi pitta, OMG) , the drinks were refreshing and cheaper than I would have expected! I wanted to just chill out for a couple of hours, I never felt rushed or pressured into being quick and leave. Really nice place. 5 stars overall for food and service, 4 stars for "atmosphere" because there was one group there who seemed to only communicate in swear words, and I was embarrassed as a British person having to listen to them use certain words so often and loudly in a public place, but that isn't the restaurants fault it's just my opinion based on this one visit.
I'd 100% visit here again if I was here longer, good luck to Stella and the team for a great...
Read moreWe are regular visitors to Spilies Tavern, as recently as yesterday for the Sunday BBQ. From the stunning views over the Med, the home cooked food, and the welcoming service provided, there are few places in Coral Bay to match. Family run, everything here is home cooked and served with a smile. Located just off sea caves Ave, most of the regulars are long time expatriates, with some tourists lucky enough to stumble across this amazing tavern. With a swimming pool for the kids as well as shaded areas if needed, Spilies Tavern offers a great value destination for families and groups alike. A word of advice though, if you are looking for a Michelin star restaurant, Avoid. Simply cooked fresh local meals and great value for money are...
