I visited this restaurant yesterday and I have to say that the food was nothing special as some of the dishes were so overcooked from the many times they cooked them before serving them, that they didn't had any taste at all. Also the softdrings were expired. We ordered 4 soft drinks, the beer was ok, the sprite's expire date was erased at the day and month, so the year only was shown, the one coca cole was expiring the same day and the other one was expired a month earlier. Something good that the restaurant had was just the view.

Pyrkos Tavern in Cyprus is a hidden gem offering authentic Cypriot cuisine in a cozy, traditional setting. The food is delicious, with highlights like the tender kleftiko and the flavorful mezze platter. Lamb Chops and trout on the grill are highly recommended. The warm, attentive service adds to the experience, making it a must-visit for anyone wanting a taste of true Cypriot hospitality. Great value for money and a memorable dining experience.

Pyrkos tavern is situated in a secluded location, nestled within an obscure village that sees little tourist traffic. Nevertheless, the tavern exudes a strong sense of tradition, offering a genuine glimpse into the rustic charm of village dining. Surprisingly, the cuisine surpassed my expectations, and I left thoroughly content with the overall experience. Notably, the tavern also boasts splendid scenic vistas as one of its highlights.

food was ok , we had meat meze but nothing special because everything was frozen but not bad.Only thing which didn’t like as a local Cypriot asking to give us local wine from vasa, but instead he gave me cheap KEO wine which is used for cooking and not drinking. How do i know this? while going to WC they had open the door of the kitchen, we were the only clients that night, and saw him poring it into our karafa.

*Some owners of restaurants which i went and we become friends admitted that most of restaurants for karafa wine they use cheap wine and not local like all claim!

Thats why is always better to get closed bottle, so you know what you are getting! for...

A really nice view and cozy local atmosphere, but food is subpar. Every single dish was overcooked to the point of looking (and tasting) burnt, even the rabbit stew, and that's actually a small miracle, considering a generous helping of oil drizzled over everything. Beef liver was unchewable, while a village salad boasted several tired leaves that shouldn't have made it to the table.

Again, a pleasant taverna with pretty view, but you would unlikely...
